Our story

Tanzanices story began at 2012 from a development co-operation project funded by Finlands statedepartment. The objective was to develop Tanzanias seedpotato logistics. After three years Pisilä noted that without commercial acitivity it would end withoutany results. In 2016 began Finnpartnership project to begin commercial activity. Tanzanice Agrofoods Ltd was established in 2017. Within the same year beganseedpotato farming in Iringa.

Tanzanices first employee, Matilda Byanda got interested in the opportunities of avocado farming in Njombe region. With doubts and even resistance she accomplished to harvest, certificate and export the first sample batch to Amsterdam in 2017. The business has grown since and now there are over 400 contract farmers. Work continues developing old operations and establishing new products.
